A random connection led to this little story...
Last year I met this wonderful jewelry designer named Jen Pleasants who owns a beautiful and creative jewelry company called
We immediately clicked the moment she looked at me and said, "You are a Cancer sign, aren't you?". We bonded instantaneously (as Cancers can) and recently she asked me to write a story for her website about this ring which I love so. Here it is.
Her website is wonderful and if you ever get the chance to meet Jennifer at one of her openings, it's a gift. Thank you Jen!
After the Storm 48 X 50" (sold)
This painting called "After the Storm" is now hanging in a wonderful home in Mill Valley.
I have always loved this piece particularly for the light that hits the house and the tops of the grasses while the skies have a strong colourful dark feeling as a backdrop. We are all familiar with that beautiful light that can pass through after a wonderful storm.
"After the 6PM Ferry" 48 X 50" (sold)
This piece sold to a wonderful family with whom I have a Cape Cod connection (although
the painting is staying in their home here in Mill Valley :-)--another East Coast connection
which I always love!
On the Sea 36 X 48" (sold)

My apple doesn't fall far from the tree...like Mother like Daughter.
Adventure is in our hearts, like getting to the top of the tree to appreciate the view of the sea and the sunset...

Sketch paintings on found wood...
Whenever I walk by a construction site, I look for random small cuts of wood that are left as scrap...it doesn't really matter if there are nicks in them or wood knots, or even very uneven...it's always fun to paint on and have as a keepsake in the studio or as a gift for a friend.

On the shelf....
One of my dearest friends has this shelf in her home on which two pieces of mine sit...the painting on the left is a work on paper that I made for her daughter ... I miss working on paper and once in a while, the opportunity presents itself in the form of a gift.
