Apron no 2.

For the first decade of my studio life, I wore the same canvas apron every day. By the end, it was inches deep in paint. I had clients wanting to buy it, and it was one of the first things kids and adults were drawn to - to touch in the studio. I thought to myself, what could I do with this? Then it dawned on me. That Apron was going to be for my son. Apron no 2. as I call the one above, is almost half a decade old and is going to be given to my daughter. The texture and colour always makes me smile.

Naturally...

Curve in the Road

In life, there are always curves in the road where you can't quite see what is around the corner.
You can feel the light and even the warmth before the bend in the road.
Or at least have faith that it will be there.
I took a two hour walk this morning as the sun came up...there was frost on the ground, the stars were bright and it was very very cold. (At least for California standards). As the sun started to climb, I could feel the cold slowly leaving me and the warmth take over. It's a beautiful feeling and one of the little things in life we should be grateful for. I relished in it.

6AM Frost.
