Thank you Marin Magazine.
I am so appreciative and thrilled to be one of the 12 finalists for the
Marin Magazine cover for their annual cover contest!!! My landscapes
have made the cover twice in years past and it was such an honor to be
selected amongst all the talented artists again to be a finalist! Thank
you Marin Magazine!!!
Handwritten letters.
I love the handwritten note. It brings me so much joy to pull out the fountain pens, stamps, watercolors - and just say a few words. It takes so little time and means so much to the person opening up their mailbox many many miles away.
Back in San Francisco and my daily beach walks before studio time...
...and of course loving wearing my Block Island dear friend - Mary Macgill's stunning jewelry...

Rosehips by the Sea 30 X 40" (@ Tjasa Owen Studio, San Francisco)
This piece was inspired partly by my view I had growing up with my summers on Block Island and by the marshlands that hug the Atlantic Coastline...

Buyukada Island...one of the Princes' Islands...
We took the ferry over the Buyukada, the biggest of the Princes' Islands and as there are no cars allowed on the Island, we took a horsecarriage and then after, rented bikes to see more of the smaller streets...the Island is almost stuck in time with the 100 year old wooden homes...absolutely a stunning day adventure.
Our final evening we went high into the hills for dinner for our final sunset view...
