Fall Season...
A close friend of mine who is a talented photographer sent me these beautiful photos this morning which makes me immediately nostalgic for the East Coast fall season....I can almost taste the cider and smell the fallen leaves.

Guideboat, my favorite new store in Mill Valley...
I found myself in my favorite new store in Mill Valley called Guideboat. It was opened by a great fellow, Stephen Gordon, who founded Restoration Hardware along with Chad Hurley, co-founder of YouTube and they have about the most amazing taste in just everything beautiful. The boats are all hand built and the clothing and accessories revolve around the boating world. It is set in the restored historic lumber mill of Mill Valley and a beautiful space was created to showcase their products. The oar I painted will be one of 20 or so oars for a charity auction on October 23rd and will be hanging in the flagship store. I am honored to be a part of it all. The oars above with the graphic colours were painted by Stephen Gordon's wife Anya...stunning.

I spent the morning with my daughter walking through some charming little stores here in Mill Valley. There is one called Summer House which, if I were to own a store, I would want to own that one...they carry the most beautiful and thoughtful treasures...I fell for this velvet on wooden spools...the combination of texture and colour was wonderful.
A found note...
I was going through my calendar yesterday when I came across this note left over from my Fall trip to the Cape...it put such a smile on my face because that IS where you find me...especially at sunrise. I love quietly watching the sunlight warm up the nature around me and cast its beautiful rays. There is something about the Fall light that is especially beautiful.
