My saltbox.

I told myself by the time I was forty I would own a little saltbox by the sea. Well, I'm just a couple years late on it, but I did it.
After wanting a little root back East for years and years- and years...I bought a sweet little 600 square foot saltbox called Bayberry Cottage on the Cape. It's more of a studio retreat amongst other little charming cottages right on Sandy Neck Bay.
My doorstep is fifty yards from the dunes which lead me to the Bay, the lighthouse and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The little group of cottages border the Audubon Preserve protecting 120 acres of land next to us. A little dream finally realized. I have painted this view for years and now I will be leaving my flip flops by the door...
