A girl who lives for the sea...

My daughter diving in Sandy Neck Bay... A girl who lives for the sea and would live in it if she could. I think she was a mermaid in a previous life.

A Thank you note...

A thank you to friends hosting me for memorable times on the Vineyard...

Thank you Elizabeth & Paul!
(www.eisenhauergallery.com)...their amazing gallery!

Galleries & Friendship.

In life you meet people that deeply influence you in positive inspirational ways. Elizabeth Eisenhauer has represented my landscapes for about 15 years now and I have a great respect for her and her sweetheart Paul who have created an amazing balanced life of managing their incredible gallery and staff on the Vineyard along with their life in the Islands off season. The Eisenhauer Gallery in Edgartown is filled with amazing artists and such fun to visit. I am grateful for my visits with them on both Islands where they live life fully in all the best ways--!

Coastal Living...

Like Mother like Daughter. Two June girls. We live for the sea and everything related to coastal living.

Four Eleven Gallery in Provincetown...

I had a beautiful day wandering Provincetown photographing details of the historic saltboxes and taking in all the colour by the sea...Just before I got back to my car, I came across possibly my favorite gallery in town called the Four Eleven Gallery. The owner - Liz Carney - was just as delightful and I feel like she has such an incredible sensibility with the artists she has chosen to represent. Her gallery space is a charming beautiful clean back drop for the artists below that were hanging...and if ever in Provincetown, an absolute must:

Four Eleven Gallery
411 Commercial Street
Provincetown, MA

This painting is by Helen Grimm- she has created a beautiful series of abstract landscapes that I fell in love with...the frames are recycled beach fences from Truro which add such a textural element to her work.

Beautiful colors and architectural landscapes by Peter Hocking...

And more from Helen Grimm below...

Clearly I wanted to actually hold each one...

Brigid Watson above and below was just phenomenal...the depth of texture, her sense of color and space...

Liz Carney is so talented herself and here is one of her pieces as well...

More of Helen  Grimm pieces outside the gallery greeting you at the entrance...

Janine Evers....stunning colorful abstracts...

And a new abstract collage artist by Cheryl Robinson...works on paper...

A treasured gift...

I think my daughter is following in my love for painting and making jewelry. She just put this beautiful piece around my neck the other day after sitting quietly with my shells, beads, and drill. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but she is by far the better apple!

BE.

This sweet "rock" given to me by Rae Dunn has followed me everywhere as a constant reminder. This year I think it has traveled from the Bay Area back to Cape Cod at least three times, came with me through our adventures in Turkey and later this summer to Africa. But for now she rests on my fire mantel on Cape Cod as a reminder to enjoy the salty days and nights that I love so being back on the Atlantic.

Low Tide...pink buoys and all.
